The shank, or hoop, of the ring is rounded and is actually quite thick.The Brilliant Round Cut Diamonds are each .20 ct. and are classically set in prongs. Each prong is a shoot of ring material that firmly grasps the gem at its girdle - which is the widest part of the stone.
